Privacy Policy
Yorozu Corporation and its affiliates (hereinafter collectively referred to as “Yorozu”) have established and implemented this Privacy Policy in the belief that proper protection of personal information is part of its social responsibility. This Policy may be updated from time to time to ensure higher standards of privacy protection.
1) Compliance with Applicable Laws and Regulations
Yorozu complies with legislation and official notices pertaining to personal information, laws
and regulations, ministry/agency guidelines and other rules concerning the handling of
personal information as well as this Policy when acquiring, managing, utilizing or disposing
of personal information in the course of its business.
Yorozu is committed to improving the handling of personal information on an ongoing basis.
2) Acquisition of Personal Information
1. Yorozu acquires personal information in a legitimate and appropriate manner and not through deception or other wrongful means.
22. Unless otherwise permitted by the applicable laws and regulations, Yorozu will not collect personal information of a sensitive nature without the prior consent of the relevant person.
3. Yorozu will specify the exact purpose of use of the personal information and collect such information only to the extent necessary.
3) Purpose of Use
1. Yorozu will explicitly state the purpose of use whenever acquiring personal information in writing. However, Yorozu may not specify the purpose of use in cases where there is an imminent need to protect human life, physical wellbeing or property, or the situation indicates that the purpose of use is obvious, or if required by applicable laws and regulations.
2. When acquiring personal information, directly or indirectly, through means other than in writing as in above, or in the case of personal information that has already been obtained, the information will be utilized within the scope of the following purposes:
- ① To provide information on products and business operations;
- ② To respond to various inquiries;
- ③ TTo send invitations to Yorozu’s exhibitions and industry events, to track entry to and exit from the venue, and send materials;
- ④ To conduct questionnaire surveys aimed at improving customer service and employee awareness;
- ⑤ For overall management of business partners such as in communications and payments;
- ⑥ For recruiting activities and to communicate procedural matters to persons who have left the company;
- ⑦ For notification to the company’s shareholders and other administrative issues; and
- ⑧ To perform other businesses ancillary to any of the above purposes ① to ⑦.
3. Yorozu may make changes to the purpose of use in above 1. and 2. to the extent reasonably considered relevant to the purpose of use in these paragraphs. Further, unless otherwise provided by applicable laws and regulations, Yorozu will inform the relevant person of the change in the purpose or post the update in the Policy on this website.
4. IIf required to handle personal information beyond the extent necessary to achieve the purpose of use in 1. and 2. (including the purpose changed as per the above paragraph), Yorozu will obtain the prior consent of the relevant person. However, the personal information may be used beyond the given scope in the following instances where Yorozu is required:
- ① To use the personal information based on laws and regulations;
- ② To use the personal information for the protection of human life, physical wellbeing or property, and obtaining consent from the relevant person is difficult;
- ③ Specifically to use the personal information for the promotion of improving public health or the sound development of children, and obtaining consent of the relevant person is difficult; or
- ④ To cooperate with government organizations, local authorities or their consigned party in the execution of the administrative affairs specified in the applicable laws and regulations, where there is a risk of impeding such execution of affairs by obtaining the consent of the relevant person.
4) Management of Personal Information
1. Yorozu is committed to maintaining the accuracy of personal data and the contents up to date to the extent necessary to achieve the purpose of use. Yorozu will make efforts to promptly delete any personal data no longer necessary in relation to the purpose of use.
2. When officers, employees and other staff members handle personal data, Yorozu will make sure that the importance of protecting personal information is understood and provide the employees with sufficient and appropriate supervision to ensure the security of personal data.
3. Yorozu is prepared against security threats such as unauthorized access, loss, falsification or leakage of personal information and has sufficient and appropriate security measures in place. Further, internal security rules are established and strictly followed.
4. When outsourcing work involving personal information, Yorozu will exercise sufficient and appropriate supervision over the commissioned party to ensure the security of the entrusted personal data.
5) Provision of Personal Information to Third Parties
1. Yorozu will not provide any third parties with personal information in its possession except in the circumstances below. In this context, “third parties” does not include persons that are entrusted, in whole or in part, with the handling of personal data to the extent necessary to fulfill the purpose of use, or persons exempted by laws and regulations.
- ① Prior consent of the relevant person is obtained;
- ② The provision of personal information is based on laws and regulations;
- ③ The provision of personal information is required for the protection of human life, physical wellbeing or property, and obtaining the consent of the relevant person is difficult;
- ④ The provision of personal information is specifically required for the promotion of improving public health or sound development of children, and obtaining the consent of the relevant person is difficult; or
- ⑤ Yorozu is required to cooperate with government organizations, local authorities or their consigned party in the execution of the administrative affairs specified in the applicable laws and regulations, where there is a risk of impeding such execution of affairs by obtaining the consent of the relevant person.
2. RRegardless of the preceding provisions, Yorozu may jointly utilize the personal data in its possession within the group (“group” refers to Yorozu Corporation and consolidated subsidiaries and equity-method affiliates mentioned in the securities report and other documents).

Yorozu respects data subject rights relating to personal information. Requests for disclosure, correction, etc. of a person’s own information will be processed to the extent reasonable and necessary. 7) Regarding the Use of Access Analysis Tools
This website uses Google Analytics, an access analysis tool from Google, which uses
Cookies to collect data. By using Cookies, Yorozu tracks the website user activities such as
the types of device (PCs, smartphones) used, the number of views, viewing hours of the
day, search terms, the first page visited and the exit page. All data is collected anonymously
and is not personally identifiable.
